I Just Keep Growing

I really feel like there should be something else I can find
interesting enough in my life to post about, but to be honest
since I am still not feeling 100% and I am not back to work,
nor will I be before I go out on Maternity Leave (thank
goodness for a really GREAT sick leave program at my
office) I have little to report about life except my ever
growing belly and baby prep.

So.. Here I am at 22 Weeks..
I know I have a long way to go yet and I feel quite big,
but I suppose there are two "Somethings" in there.
We still have not had the next ultrasound which should be
in the next couple of weeks to determine if she was right
in saying they were two girls.  We hope to be able to let
everyone know VERY soon.

We are thinking of getting the 3D-4D ultrasound done.
I would not normally but we think it will be super fun
where there are twins.  Have any of you had this done
and been disappointed???

So seeing how we have not yet found out the sexes of
the babies we have not really done a lot in the way of
preparing except for trying to get the house more
organized and empty out the room which is now the
guest room which will become the Jazzy/Playroom and
move her from the room she is in (the larger one) and
put the nursery in there.
We have also been trying to teach Jazzy more about
sharing toys and time and such.  It should be interesting
with TWO babies, but she seems excited for them and
she seems to understand what is going on.
She and I were playing the other day and our
conversation went like this..

Jenny:  Jazzy do you think my belly is getting really big?

Jazzy:  No Jenny its not!

Jenny: Really?

Jazzy:  Because it is enormous!!

I laughed at that one for a while.  She is such a funny
kid and extremely smart.  Too smart for her own
good sometimes.

She had her hand on my belly when we were telling
her about how the babies are moving around and
stretching and kicking and one of them kick right
where her hand was.  The look on her face was
priceless.

Your belly looks so cute. I love it. I'm glad you don't have to go to work right now. That has to be a little boring, but a nice reprieve. Good luck. You look amazing.

I had the 3d ultrasound done almost every time I went to the doctor with Creighton. The doctor had one in each of his exam rooms and was great at quickly doing one each time. IT was pretty cool. I looked back at the pictures from it and Creighton looked exactly like the ultrasound. It was really fun.
Cute Pic.

As the owner of a 3D center, I will encourage you to schedule with someone sooner rather than later. We like to see twins at 27/28 weeks. You could not possibly be disappointed, however, go with the proper expectation level. We rarely get great pictures of both babies. It's all about position and again it is rare to find both babies in an optimum scan position. You will do better with a center that uses RDMS reistered sonographers....they have much more experience with twins than these centers that set up shop and the owner receives two days of training on the machine. Good luck and ENJOY!

Thanks for stopping by my blog and wow! Congrats on having twins! Such a wonderful blessing!!
Your belly is gorgeous (so jealous right now!!)
Jazzy sounds like a total riot! I love 2 years olds...they say the darndest thing!
I'm super thrilled for you and I think you should get the 3D-4D ultrasound. My brother has done it twice and hasn't been disappointed...granted he wasn't having twins...but he was happy. Heck all my friends that have done it have been happy!! Have fun if you do decide to do it! I'll eagerly keep watching your blog to find out!

Look at that wonderful belly!! I didn't do the 3d/4d ultrasound, so I don't have any advice, but I do think they look kind of weird. Cool, but weird at the same time...
