We did not want the twins scared of the stairs, nor did we want to be nervous every time the girls went near the three steps between our dining room and living room. So, from a very early age we helped teach them to turn around and go down the stairs. Ruby I guess is going to be our overly cautious child...
I guess our camera has a great microphone on it because the TV sounds like it is screaming at me, and you can hear my stuffed up breathing as well... Please ignore!

Too funny how she just boogies backwards.....
I love when babies scoot backwards! So cute. I definitely think you're right not to over-protect. It will pay off later. I sheltered my "baby" (she's 13 now) too much and she became fearful and anxious later in life. You're doing the right things!
